ASSIGNMENT 1

Materials Application: Architectural and Structural (Individual)

This project is designed as exposure for students on building materials that are universally used in building design. I choose architect Mario Botta to conduct a case study on the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art designed by him in the context of building materials applications as architectural and structural features together with its relation to the design concept of this museum.

ASSIGNMENT 2

Construction Detailing of Building Elements (Group)

This assignment is designed to allow us to demonstrate our knowledge and understanding on building construction through drawings. In a group of 6, interior architecture students got a single-story terraced house floor plan in Malaysia. From the floor plan, we redrew it manually into a construction drawing based on the choice of building materials to be used.
